The Toowoomba Council needed to lay sewer mains and make the provision for individual plots to connect 800+ properties to a sewer network. All the properties were currently using septic tanks. The challenge was the hilly terrain and picking the best route for sewer alignments to maintain the design required slope while addressing each property. Drawings prepared included plans and profiles for the sewer network using Civil 3D. During the design process, changes to levels were incorporated into the Civil 3D model very efficiently and accurately.

The scope of work included detailed drawings for eleven circular and rectangular platforms supporting process vessels and tanks and the preparation of general arrangement and detailed shop drawings with MTO. For an additional four platforms, the scope of work included structural analysis, design of platforms and review as a professional engineer.

The key deliverables for this project included the civil and structural design of a pump station at four stages and the hydraulic design of the approach channel and forebay connecting to pump house.

The project deliverables included civil and structural designs of units such as raw water tanks, permeate tanks, feed pump stations, centrifuge buildings, chemical dosing buildings, cascade aertors and clariflculators.

This project focussed on the structural design for in-place, transportation and lifting cases. Analysis was done using Staad Pro and design carried out using AISC 360-10. Structural general arrangement drawings were completed with Autocad.

The project monitoring and tracking of WTP projects in various cities of Uttar Pradesh were completed through a central website. All projects models were created in MS-Projects and updated on a weekly basis.
